Dr. Alan Persons moved to Arizona in the summer before he started second grade. He attended grade school through seventh grade on the street side of Phoenix. Before beginning his eighth grade year, he moved to the Glendale area, where he finished grade school and attended high school. He went to college in Arizona and then moved to Portland, Oregon, to attend dental school. He graduated from the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in 1984 and moved back home to Arizona, where he plans to live the rest of his life.
He married his high school sweetheart and together they have five children and 14 grandchildren. The family enjoys camping and road trips, and our office walls have pictures of some of those trips. Dr. Persons is active in service in his church and has spent many years working with young men in the Boy Scout program, which he has enjoyed immensely. He also served a two-year mission to California as a young man. Dr. Persons enjoys, among other things, camping, reading, playing games and spending time with his family. He loves coming to work and having the opportunity to talk to and take care of patients.
